I’m still working on my watercolors, but I haven’t been making new ones. Here is the first draft, possibly the final draft of a new poster I’m working on to print for the gallery schedule at school.

Watercolor #31
7″x10″, painted 8/8/2010. Another session at Point Defiance. I just loved this wood pillar sticking out of the water with the small plant on top. The sign also topped it off.
Watercolor #30
4″x6″, painted 8/8/2010. While I was painting this image of the rose garden at Point Defiance park, there was a lovely Scottish wedding happening. It was nice to paint to bagpipes.
Watercolor #29
Watercolor #27
7″x10″, painted 8/4/2010. This was painted from the same spot in the fireman’s park in downtown Tacoma as watercolro #26. Instead of looking down at the freeway, I was looking up at the view west onto Commencement bay. I was standing up while I painted this instead of sitting in my usual chair and I think that the change in painting position really helped me keep this more loose.
Watercolor #26
4″x6″, painted 8/4/2010. This is the birds eye view of the Schuster Parkway and Stadium drive exit off the I705. I painted this view from the lovely little fireman’s park in downtown Tacoma. I was really drawn to this place by the geometry of the curvy roads and how they overlap one another as well as how the shadows played on them.
