I snuck in a personal project on the laser cutter/engraver today and worked on some secret Christmas projects. Here’s a peek!
I’m working on a project for the Children’s Museum of Tacoma creating a plethora of wooden stencils of various shapes, patterns, and symbols. One of the best parts of the project is working with the Fab Lab Tacoma and their laser cutter and engraver. It was very cool to see the first set come out perfect!
Every fall our school hosts a global summit with schools visiting from around the world (Poland, China, and Columbia this year). This year we created an interactive art installation inspired by Candy Chang’s Ted Talk. We hope to challenge our students and our global guests to think about how they can transform the world into a better place.
Summer is over which means I won’t be brewing much until the holidays, but I have a couple batches in the basement that are still fermenting so that our fridge is stocked throughout the fall. The first batch to be ready to drink is a green hopped pale ale. The fresh hops came from the garden of a colleague and I thought I would name the beer after her. The labels were a quick saturday afternoon letterpress project.
