This is the latest installation from my printmaking class and it turned out very cool! The project started out as an intro to letterpress and setting type. Six words seemed like a reasonable start to working with type, so we got some inspiration from Smith magazine’s six-word memoir project and got to work. I was very impressed with the memoirs in their button form and I felt like we needed to share them with the greater school community. While cool, the buttons wouldn’t garner much attention in the gallery, so we blew up the memoirs with string and push pins. They are the talk of the school now!
