I’ve been delayed in posting these images as they happened at a busy time in the school year, but I got sick of seeing them on my desk and so I took some quick shots of them today. They are from an overnight camp experience we took all of our 9th graders on at the beginning of September at Camp Kiloqua. Each painting in the book is about 1″x3″ and took about 15-20 mins to paint. I particularly love the painting with the two red life guard chairs. I painted it in the morning as the fog was just lifting off the lake. I feel like I successfully captured the beauty of the moment with as few strokes as possible and then things just jived together.
