NCC Creative – Part 3

The second image for this job is a lovely T-bone steak. Yup, steak and potatoes. I’ve had a blast carving these over this past week. Everyone was a bit curious and it brought up some good conversations. The steak was a bit if a challenge to print, but after I mounted it on some wood, the printing went very well. Here’s a few process images:

Dino-Book Prototype

My printmaking class has just finished their first dry point etching project and I wanted to push them into using their new intaglio skills in a book. Inspired by the work of Judith Hoffman, particularly her book 7 Extinction Events, I plan on asking my students to create a one-sheet intaglio printed book inside of a toy that explores the theme of “inside.”

These images are of my 4th prototype in trying to combine a toy with a book and I think I finally got it to work!
